THE DEPOSITORIES ACT, 1996

Overview: In April, 1996 the governing board of SEBI approved the draft of SEBI (Depositories and Participants) regulations 1996. The Securities and Exchange Board of India notified these regulations on may 16, 1996. The Government of India in 1996 introduced in Lok Sabha.
